I had a hip replacement performed by Mr Lusty in Sep-21. I am very happy with the process, care, and outcome from this operation. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Lusty, who I consider to be an outstanding surgeon in this field.

I had a right total knee replacement done by Mr Lusty & his team at the Spire Wellesley in May 2021, right from the very start of seeing him as my consultant he always made me feel at ease and was very informative about my treatment. This operation has been life changing for me and all because of his skill and professionalism as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. I have been incredibly well cared for at the Wellesley and would definitely recommend anyone who needs to have hip or knee surgery to go and see Mr Lusty he is an excellent surgeon.

In recent months I have had total knee replacement operations in both knees performed by Mr Lusty. His care and skill was second
To none, always calm and reassuring. The nursing staff also
were warm and caring which made you feel at ease.
I would recommend Mr Lusty to anyone needing knee or
hip surgery, he is an excellent surgeon.

From my first meeting with Mr Lusty I was put at ease by his calming manner and obvious professionalism. I am a nervous patient but was left in no doubt by Mr Lusty that with his help the pain I was suffering would be alleviated. I had my operation mid April and my progress has been tremendous regarding comfort and mobility. I was incredibly well cared for at the Wellesley Hospital by Mr. Lusty and his team and could not be more pleased with my treatment and the results achieved by my replacement hip operation.

After my first appointment and meeting Mr. Lusty, I was given the confidence to go ahead with my hip replacement which had left me limited in my day to day activities for three years. I’m 86 years old and had my operation at the beginning of Dec 2020 and within 36 hours I was up and walking. I could not believe it! I urge all others who are suffering, do not be afraid, put yourself in his hands and you will be well looked after.

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2007. I completed international fellowships specialising in joint replacement and sports medicine surgery. I am an expert in hip and knee surgery.
I specialise in hip and knee surgery. I perform minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, revision (redo) joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. I also practice soft tissue knee surgery such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and arthroscopic anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery, and meniscal (cartilage) repair and resection.
I have been running a busy consultant practice for over ten years. I have performed more than 2000 primary joint replacements (hips and knees) and more than 200 revision joint replacements (redo hips and knees) on the national joint registry. My outcomes outperform the expected in terms of revision rates on the national joint register and patient function from Amplitude outcome data (from data of over 1000 patients at Spire Wellesley) I perform many knee arthroscopic procedures including anterior cruciate reconstructions.
